Please read these Terms of Use (“Terms”) before using the USCIS Civics Prep app (the “App”). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for your own non-commercial study purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or sublicense any part of the App.
2. Price and Advertising
The App is free and contains the full question catalogue. It is supported by advertising served through Google AdMob. There is no subscription and no in-app purchase.
3. No Affiliation with USCIS
The App is an independent study tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) or any agency of the U.S. government. The questions are taken from the publicly available official document M-1778 (09/25). Passing the practice test in the App does not guarantee passing the official civics test, and nothing in the App is legal or immigration advice.
4. Intellectual Property
The official USCIS test questions and acceptable answers reproduced in the App are public administrative content. The App’s user interface, design, code, explanatory text and Spanish translations are our intellectual property.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. Some answers change with elections and appointments (President, Vice President, Speaker of the House, Chief Justice, and your state’s senators and governor). We refresh state data over the air and link to the official USCIS “Test Updates” page, but we do not warrant that every answer shown is current, error-free or complete. Always confirm changing answers against the official USCIS sources.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including any outcome in the official civics test or naturalization process.
7. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, where the developer is established. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Germany, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise.
